There are many reasons for rod surface wear. If the center of the rod surface is severely worn, it means that the ball is frequently hit. If there is a problem with the root and toe of the head, it suggests that there is a problem with the swing or the club assembly. Toe wear indicates that the rod is too short or the player is too far away from the ball. The root wear indicates the opposite.

The wear of the bottom of the rod can reveal the problem of landing angle or swing. Under normal conditions, wear occurs in the middle of the bottom of the rod, i.e. under the sweet spot. If wear occurs at the root, it means that the landing angle is too large or the grip position is too low. Hitting with the root can easily cause the left curl. On the contrary, if the abrasion occurs at the toe, it means that the landing angle is too small or the grip position is too low and the swing is too steep.
